NASDAQ-Listed Insurtech

Helping a NASDAQ-listed insurtech make a high-trust product easier to say yes to

The situation

Huize is a NASDAQ-listed insurance technology platform connecting consumers, insurance carriers, and distribution partners. In insurance, trust is not a feature of the product. It is the environment the product lives in.

Insurance carries three structural burdens that most growth playbooks ignore: high trust requirements, long decision cycles, and a heavy education load before anyone is ready to compare options. Customers need clarity and credibility before they need a quote.

A platform like Huize sits between consumers, carriers, and distribution partners, so its value proposition has to make sense to every side of the market. That made the first conversation especially important: if the story felt too complex, too sales-led, or too generic, the audience would not stay long enough to understand the value.

The challenge

Generic growth tactics break down in this category. Performance channels can buy a click, but a click on an insurance ad is not intent, and it is certainly not trust.

Huize needed support translating a complex value proposition into audience-specific narratives that could work across creators, advisors, community leaders, and trusted distribution paths. The team needed messaging that made insurance education genuinely easier to understand, audience segmentation built around life stage, risk awareness, family needs, and financial planning intent, and a repeatable structure for testing creator-led and relationship-led distribution.

The turn

Nobody wakes up wanting to compare insurance policies. People wake up with a question about their family's future, and they take that question to whoever they already trust. The campaign's job was not to sell products. It was to earn the right to answer the question when it gets asked.

What we did

  • Broke the message into narrative layers that could be assembled differently for each audience: why the product matters, who it is most relevant for, what misunderstanding or friction has to be removed first, which trusted voices can explain it naturally, and what the first conversation should ask for.
  • Mapped introduction and creator routes across insurance education, fintech, family finance, professional communities, and consumer trust channels. Each route was evaluated on one criterion above all others: could this voice carry an educational message without turning it into a hard sell?
  • Designed the explicit goal of never making insurance sound trendy — making the first conversation feel useful, credible, and easy to say yes to.

What changed

The work created a clearer campaign narrative and a stronger foundation for trust-led distribution. Huize could approach audience partners with specific context instead of a generic sponsorship deck, with messaging matched to each partner's audience, and with a cleaner path from education to qualified interest.
